Justworks Earns 2021 Great Place to Work® Certification

Justworks prioritizes employee experience by incorporating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion practices into company benefits

NEW YORK - April 15, 2021 - Justworks, one of the nation’s fastest-growing HR technology companies, is proud to announce it has earned its Great Place to Work® Certification for a fourth time. The prestigious award is based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working at Justworks. Over the last year, as employees navigated the pandemic and social injustice, Justworks made necessary changes to employee benefits and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practices to strengthen the employee experience.

Great Place to Work® is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation.

“Justworks is honored to receive its fourth certification as a Great Place to Work,” said Allison Rutledge-Parisi, Senior Vice President of People at Justworks. “As a result of the events of this past year, Justworks embedded DEI practices and support for employee mental health and safety into the core of its employee engagement programming and benefits. A company’s success depends on the success of its employees, and Justworks continues to seek ways to fully support its people. We are proud of the recognition of these efforts. Our work is not perfect and we realize that there is always more to be done to improve. We are committed to our employees and delivering programming to enhance their experience at Justworks.”

Responding to the social injustice experienced around the world, Justworks took a new approach to DEI. The company launched multiple new programs including mandatory training on ‘Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace’ and ‘Managing Bias’ for all employees and its Board of Directors, Employee Resource Group (ERG) Leader Compensation, year long Anti-Racism Learning & Training commitment, and Mental Health Workshops designed for managing stress, grief, and healing racial trauma.

“Great Place to Work Certification™ isn’t something that comes easily – it takes ongoing dedication to the employee experience,” said Sarah Lewis-Kulin, Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place to Work. “It’s the only official recognition determined by employees’ real-time reports of their company culture. Earning this designation means that Justworks is one of the best companies to work for in the country.”

Alongside new DEI programming, Justworks launched additional programs focused on employee wellness including a mandatory mental health day with a company-provided stipend titled, “Operation Oxygen”, delivery of supplies and equipment to set up a comfortable home office, and free annual memberships to Headspace, CitiBike and One Medical.

According to Great Place to Work research, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a Certified great workplace. Additionally, employees at Certified workplaces are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work, and are twice as likely to be paid fairly, earn a fair share of the company’s profits and have a fair chance at promotion.
