Justworks and Kindbody to Increase Small Businesses’ Access to Fertility and Family-Building Benefits

The HR-tech platform officially adds Kindbody to its benefits suite, providing access to fertility and family-building services for over 130,000 people

NEW YORK – April 20, 2023 – Justworks the HR technology platform providing small businesses access to benefits, payroll, HR tools and compliance support all in one place, today announced Kindbody, a technology-driven fertility clinic network and family-building benefits provider, as an official benefits partner.

Despite increasing trends of employers offering fertility and family-building benefits to their employees, these tend to be accessible only to employees who work at large companies. The partnership is a pioneering step by Justworks and Kindbody to level the playing field for small businesses by making it simpler and more affordable for them to make modern, inclusive, and competitive benefits accessible to employees and their families.

"At Justworks, we continually work with our customers to understand what small businesses need from a modern benefits package to help take care of their teams," said Justworks' Group Product Manager of Benefits Experience, Lina Dorkhman. "The ability to provide access to fertility and family-building benefits to employees is top-of-mind for small businesses. It’s important for them to truly take care of their teams. We were drawn to Kindbody because their team takes a holistic approach—including mental health—to their services. We’re proud to partner with Kindbody to bring inclusive fertility and family-building benefits that support all paths to parenthood to our small business customers."

Justworks members and their dependents (18 years of age or older) actively enrolled in Aetna or UnitedHealthCare medical plans—over 130,000 people—now have access to Kindbody’s fertility and family-building services through Justworks’ benefits suite. The partnership between Justworks and Kindbody propels the goal of accessible healthcare forward by providing discounted pricing on treatment costs for employees, at no cost to employers.

Kindbody’s clinically managed program includes fertility assessments and education, fertility preservation, genetic testing, in vitro fertilization (IVF), donor and surrogacy services, and adoption, as well as physical, mental, and emotional support from preconception through postpartum. Kindbody owns and operates 32 signature clinics throughout the U.S. in Arkansas, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.

“Infertility is common and yet, for far too long high-quality fertility care has been available to only a privileged few,” said Dr. Fahimeh Sasan, Chief Innovation Officer and Founding Physician of Kindbody. “We’re delighted to partner with Justworks to make essential fertility and family-building healthcare more accessible and affordable to those who need it.”

The Kindbody partnership expands Justworks’ benefits suite, which already includes modern primary care and mental health partners like One Medical and Talkspace.
