We Are Rosie was already working with Justworks when Talya Esserman joined the team as Head of People Operations in early 2022, so her first experience with Justworks was onboarding as an employee. “l remember getting an email to register around a week before my start date,” she said. “It was easy, user-friendly – there was nothing difficult at all. The platform is easy to use.”Talya’s transition from new hire to admin was seamless. “I hadn’t used Justworks as an admin user in the past, but it is extremely user-friendly and clear,” she explained. Platform features Talya loves, like the calendar and employee birthdays, are easy to find and easy to use. “I haven’t had any issues figuring out what does what. ” For Talya, an easy-to-navigate system that performs as it should is invaluable. “I completely trust the system.”
When it comes to compliance, Talya relies on Justworks’ expertise. “As Head of People Operations, rather than being in a traditional HR job, I don’t know all the nuances of compliance. Having a partner like Justworks makes it so easy for me to get the information I need,” she said. “If there’s a question that comes up, instead of spending hours doing research, I can ping Justworks and they’re going to be able to support me in getting the answer. Knowing that we have these resources available to us helps us level up.”Talya also has high praise for Justworks’ responsiveness. “The customer service is incredible,” she said. “I cannot say enough. It’s amazing. Everyone on the team is so accessible, so quick to respond.” And when it comes to We Are Rosie’s account manager at Justworks, Talya has only great things to say. “He’s got all the answers! If I have something urgent, I can call him or send him an email. His responsiveness always shocks me — it’s very quick,” she said. “I can also use the chat feature or call customer service. They really make it so easy and seamless.”Talya went on to describe a recent experience contacting Justworks customer service. “I had a question about editing a report — the person I talked to wasn’t sure, but offered to follow up and asked how urgent it was. The next day, I had an answer,” she said. And while the answer was no to her direct question, Talya still had a positive experience. “The person who helped me went above and beyond what I asked and provided an alternate solution that would allow me to accomplish my goal.”
The employee training Justworks makes available to customers is also really beneficial for Talya and her team. “I love the training,” she said. “I recently launched the Diversity & Inclusion in the Modern Workplace training for our entire organization, starting with the people operations team. It’s so well done — it’s a narrative, it’s a story, it’s engaging,” she explained. “It really allows you to think about things in different contexts, and touches on important topics like differences in identity, the power of privilege, and invisible disabilities. The flow of the training is great, and it’s so well thought out.”
Once the team at We Are Rosie has completed the diversity and inclusion training, Talya plans to roll out additional Justworks training company-wide.“Justworks provides so much good content. We’re working on our harassment and discrimination training rollout for the whole team. There’s also a managing bias course that I’m going to roll out.” Having access to these training programs is just another key benefit that Justworks provides. ”Having those tools and that training there, and knowing that the training is so well done, makes my job so much easier."
