A Day at Metropolis: Inside Justworks’ Inaugural Partner Invitational

We've built the Justworks Partner Program over email threads, quarterly check-ins, and the occasional conference handshake. This past June, we tried something different. We put over 50 of our partners on a golf course for a full day of friendly competition. The first-ever Justworks Partner Invitational is in the books, and the next one is already on the calendar.

Partners came in from dozens of organizations to a check-in table loaded with gear. Every attendee walked away with a full kit:

• Custom caps

• Golf shirts

• Golf towels

• Golf balls

• A mini care kit for the back nine

Then it was down to the range for a perfect summer afternoon.

The Day

Here's the thing about golf as a format: you can't rush it. Four hours in a group with the same three people means the small talk turns into something real, connecting with peers. Partners got to break down barriers and played alongside others they'd only ever seen on a webinar or in name only. After a day on the golf course, the fun continued with happy hour followed by dinner. It was a great opportunity for partners to unwind, swap stories, and connect with one another and the Justworks team beyond the golf course.

The Competition

Three side contests ran alongside the main event and the leaderboard stayed tight all afternoon:

• Longest Drive

• Closest to the Pin

• Hole in One

The biggest prize of all? The winning team earns an automatic invitation to the next Partner Invitational. No qualification required. That's the way they'll continue to work, win once and you're on the list for the next. 

Next Stop: Scottsdale, Arizona 

The Justworks Partner Invitational is now a semi-annual series in a new city each time. The next one heads to Scottsdale, AZ this November. Desert course, incredible weather, and even better company. Attendance is invitation-only, and spots are limited.
