We've Redesigned The Justworks Dashboard
We know we’ve been a little quiet since we announced online employee benefits enrollment in April, but we’ve been hard at work. In the past few months, we’ve launched several new features such as Xero and QuickBooks Online integration and the ability to add life event on Justworks. Today, we’re excited to roll out even more product updates: new dashboard, updated commissions, changes to the doc center and 501(c)3 reporting.
We’ve launched a redesigned dashboard that we hope will make navigating the app more enjoyable and intuitive. These updates also pave the way for permissions and will make it easier when different employees, beyond admins, have different controls within the app. Among the changes are:
Left-side Navigation
You will see a left-side navigation bar. This should make it easier to move between different actions on the site. If you’re an admin for your company, note that Reports will now live under the Payments section.
Notifications on the Home Screen
Things that require immediate action - such as vacation requests, and I-9 forms - will now be visible front and center on the home screen. This should make them easy to remember and complete.
Before this roll out, admins had to toggle back and forth between their admin and their employee views. Now, all your personal employee information will be available on the left nav, under the section called “You”.
For those of your paying sales commissions monthly or quarterly in Justworks, you'll now see the ability to calculate federal withholding taxes at either the flat 25% rate or at a new cumulative rate method. The cumulative rate method combines regular wages for the pay period with commission payments and treats the total as one payment of regular wages and then withholds taxes using ordinary withholding rates.
If the total of the employee's taxes paid exceeds the taxes due for the year, they'll receive a tax refund from the IRS after filing taxes. To check this out, click on "Make a payment > supplemental pay > commissions."
We've added a new document permission level to the Document Center that allows you to designate a document as being for the entire company, which includes employees and contractors, or just employees. This should help those companies with many contractors in their workforces who would like the ability to differentiate document types. This is in addition to the other existing document restrictions, including administrators only or single person access.
If you are looking to refer non profits, we've now added the ability to manage their tax exemptions automatically. Non profits receive 10% off their monthly fees, so refer your friends and get an awesome referral bonus.
We’re excited to launch new features that we think will make your and your employees’ lives easier. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve these features or anything else, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team at [email protected].
