Justworks Named One of the Highest Rated Private Cloud Computing Companies to Work for by Glassdoor and Battery Ventures

Justworks Ranked at Number 14 on List Showcasing Firms with Highest Levels of Employee Satisfaction

NEW YORK – May 2, 2018 – Justworks, the fastest growing HR technology platform for entrepreneurs who are serious about taking care of their teams, was recognized as one of the 50 Highest Rated Private Cloud Computing Companies to Work For. The list was published by Battery Ventures, a global investment firm, and Glassdoor, one of the world’s largest job recruiting sites. It highlights independent and private business-to-business (B2B) cloud companies where employees report the highest levels of satisfaction at work.

Justworks ranked 14th with an overall rating of a 4.7 on a scale of 1 to 5, positioning the company as an industry leader (the average across the Glassdoor survey was 3.4 points). Isaac Oates, Justworks CEO and founder, maintains a 100 percent approval rating, compared to an average of 69 percent for all 770,000 employers on the site. And finally, Justworks’ employee feedback gave a 94 percent positive business-outlook rating against a 48 percent average. A positive business-outlook means employees believe business will improve in the next six months.

“Since we first partnered with Glassdoor to compile this list in 2016, the cloud has only grown in influence and market power,” said Neeraj Agrawal, a general partner at Battery who specializes in cloud investing. “It was also significantly tougher to make the list this year, with companies requiring a higher Glassdoor rating to make the cut—showing that companies can’t rest when it comes to focusing on culture and employee happiness.”

More broadly, “We view these rankings as a key indicator of company health and potential growth,” said Agrawal, who also serves on the board of Glassdoor. To give significance to these metrics, a Glassdoor economic research study and other third-party studies show that companies with high employee satisfaction often post stronger financial performance.

“We are proud of our culture at Justworks, and have always anchored it to our core values of camaraderie, openness, grit, integrity, and simplicity” said Oates. “In designing new features, interacting with customers, or the way we approach hiring across the company, we keep these values top-of-mind. We see continued positive feedback from our employees as a sign of our culture resonating with the way our people want to work — in a transparent, open, and motivated environment. At Justworks, our core values help us stay true to this and are reflected in everything that we do.”

This year’s list highlights fast-growing cloud firms as well as publicly traded, business-focused cloud corporations, and represents those companies where employees report the highest levels of satisfaction at work. These innovative companies are powering the trend of businesses increasingly turning to the cloud to run critical technology systems and software, instead of using on-premise systems.
