How to submit a workers’ compensation claim
At Justworks, we aim to provide simple and effective solutions to help you run your business more efficiently. We're thrilled to announce a new enhancement: in-app Worker’s Compensation flows! Now, reporting workers' compensation claims is easier than ever. This feature lets you quickly and effortlessly report incidents in the Justworks application.
When an employee informs you of an incident that occurred in the workplace, instead of having to go through our Customer Support team to obtain and submit forms, you can take action swiftly by submitting the claim through the employee’s profile on Justworks or by accessing the Incidents tab via the Benefits center. This new submission process will allow the claim to be processed more quickly, and ensure impacted employees can obtain proper care and coverage, if applicable, in a timely manner.
Navigate to the employee’s profile through Manage > Employees and select “Report a workplace incident.”
Complete the form with full information on the incident including date, time, location of the incident, details of the injury, response and treatment for the injury, required documents, and more.
Finally, review your submission before clicking “Submit Report”.
You will receive confirmation of your claim submission and both you and the injured employee will receive information on the claim and details around care by email.
As a reminder, workers’ compensation claims must be submitted within 24 hours of the incident.
